The Braden’s Hope license plate will be available beginning January 1, 2022.

While the license plate is available January 1, 2022, the State of Kansas requests you wait until your renewal date.

In addition to your normal vehicle registration cost, you will be charged a fee of $95.50.

Below is the breakdown of this fee:

  • $50.00 to Braden’s Hope. This is an annual fee/donation, which benefits Braden’s Hope.
  • $40.00 Specialty plate application fee (one-time issuance fee)
  • $5.50 County service fee and reflectorized plate fee (one-time fee)

*There may be additional county and state fees if this is a new title.

Fill out a Distinctive License Plate authorization form. Each treasurer’s office or DMV should have the form, but there is also a form linked above. It may be easiest to print and fill-out ahead of time.

Important and helpful tips to note when filling out the authorization form:

  • You DO NOT need an authorizing signature from Braden’s Hope. That portion of the form will be completed by the county treasurer. Prior authorization has been given by Braden’s Hope.
  • At the bottom of the form under the FOUNDATION OR ASSOCIATION & NAME OF DISTINCTIVE LICENSE PLATE; Please write ‘Braden’s Hope For Childhood Cancer’.

Unfortunately, no.

You must go to the DMV or county treasurer’s office to apply for your Braden’s Hope license plate. Fill out the pdf form above and take it with you.

*Even if you renew your registration online, you will have to go to the county treasurer’s office in person to request the Braden’s Hope plate. Your plate will be mailed to you within 30 days.
