Go Gold KC
Kansas City Shines Bright for Childhood Cancer Awareness

As September comes to a close, we’re ending Childhood Cancer Awareness Month with a moment that will light up the sky and our hearts. On the night of September 30th, Kansas City will shine gold in honor of the children who bravely fight cancer and those who now shine from above.
Thanks to the incredible support of our community and city partners, the Kansas City skyline will glow gold for one unforgettable night. This evening will be a luminous tribute to honor every family who has walked this journey and raise awareness for a disease that demands more attention, research, and hope.
This luminous tribute is more than just a beautiful skyline, it’s a community standing together for children fighting cancer.
Many iconic landmarks across the city will glow in solidarity, including:
– Union Station
– Children’s Mercy Research Institute (CMRI)
– KC Wheel
– Downtown Marriott
– Bartle Hall Pylons
– Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts
and many more.
